When we founded SpatialKey in the late 2000s, our mission was clear: empower insurers with intuitive geospatial analytics that turn complex data into actionable insight. Over the years, we built a platform trusted by more than 200 insurers, brokers, and MGAs, helping them visualize risk, streamline underwriting, and respond intelligently to catastrophic events.
By the end of 2019, we had grown into a market leader in P&C geospatial analytics. That momentum led us to a major milestone: joining Insurity. Insurity completed its acquisition of SpatialKey in December 2019, announcing it publicly in January 2020. As part of Insurity, we expanded the reach of our geospatial intelligence, strengthening their broader data and analytics solutions while extending the value we could deliver to customers.
In 2021, we welcomed another powerful analytics partner into the Insurity family: Maprisk. When Insurity acquired Maprisk in October 2021, it further broadened our collective capabilities by bringing in high‑resolution hazard data, automated risk workflows, and a deep library of third‑party data sources. This acquisition built directly on our foundation as the market leader in geospatial solutions. Together, we now offer broader coverage, more automation, and richer insights than ever before.

If you’ve been using SpatialKey or Maprisk and now see Insurity referenced more frequently, that’s simply because we’ve officially come together as one organization. The important part: nothing is changing about the experience you rely on today. You still have access to all the same features, data, and workflows you’re familiar with.
Looking ahead, we’re focused on gradually and thoughtfully bringing our products closer together. This means:
